I have literally walked hundreds of miles in these shoes. I have hiked through the Himalayas, climbed mountains in Albania, wandered through Sweden, trekked tigers in the Sumatran jungle, and hiked, scrambled, rock climbed, and crossed glaciers all over the state of Washington in these shoes. Anything I throw at them they seem to excel.

Normally, I write a product review after I have used a new product just a few times, but these shoes I have used for two full years and they continue to amaze me. On rock they don’t feel far off rock a climbing shoe, gripping to the rock like a gecko’s feet. Yet, they are comfortable enough that I spent four weeks in them on my approach to climb in a few peaks in the Nepalese Himalayas. In Albania I climbed Mount Jezerca which involved a lot of steep snow and despite the sun beating down and the snow being soft my feet never got wet thanks to the Gore-Tex lining, and they were stable enough to kick steps in the snow. Where others used crampons, I just used my TX3’s.

I could go on forever about these shoes, and how they are so versatile I rare ever use any other shoe these days. They are truly my favorite shoes of all time and even after two years of heavy use they are holding up, showing only minor wear and tear. For any terrain that does not involve anything super technical this is truly the perfect shoe!
